The CA wasn't visible on the original rendering but I maxed out everything in the tuning when I put this through Picasa and at the time they didn't have a retouch tool for me to clean this up with and also I didn't see it until I loaded it up onto a couple of sites. LOL, I was kicking myself for it.
Ah well, never mind, plenty more where that came from and on this site I seem to be able to replace without affecting other peoples faves so I just might get round to fixing this.
Looks like I have a good argument for getting a nice shiny new Nikon though!
you may want to check if the ptlens app supports your combo, it does a good job at fixing lens defect (distorsion & ca) + it is cheap ($10) and you can try it for free
just to be picky, your lens creates some ugly CA on the bottom left and top right spikes
